Jake…Your hilarious!!!
Posted onToday Jakob asked if he could hold his sister. He has been coming around to his sister over the last few days and is now starting to help out more, which makes me so happy. What was hilarious today is when he was holding her she pooped, loudly I might add, and Jakob and I started laughing so hard. Then he said “Mommy…get the baby, I’m outa here”. I haven’t laughed so hard in a while. Fortunately I also captured these moments with the camera!

I’m so happy to have her too! Although I must admit I have forgotten how much work babies are in the first few months of life. I am so exhausted. She has had me up most the night for the last 3 nights. Finally I begged Josh to take her at about 5:30 this morning. He gave me a nice long break and I slept until almost noon. I can’t tell you how good that felt. Now if only I could have a maid too! Then all would be awesome!
It would be interesting to see how Cedric would react to a new baby. Jakob is coming around to the idea though I must admit I can tell he feels like he’s lost the number one spot. He especially misses having Mommy to himself. I’m doing my best to try to carve out special time with just him. Unfortunately it never lasts very long before the baby cries again. As she gets older we will have an easier time being able to break away and take a little one on one. This morning when Josh took Maddy for a while I found myself cuddling up to Jakob and remembering what it was like to sleep an entire night cuddling with that little guy and waking up to cartoons. I miss that. All part of the experience of an expanding family I guess!
That’s so cute. I remember the first time Cedric pooped in my lap, and my reaction was basically the same… with one difference: “Dina… get the baby, I’m outta here.”
I can only imagine how Cedric would react to a new baby in our family… it would be cool to see.
