Fun in the Snow!!!!

Today we woke up to about 8 to 9 inches of snow. So of course we had to take some time to go play in it. I haven’t seen this much snow around here in a long time. It has been such an exciting day. We are expecting more snow over night and thru Tuesday. I can’t wait to see how much we end up with! I’m sure glad I didn’t have to drive to work today. That would have been some experience. They must have a ton of snow up there right now!

God I hate the snow… how people like you get excited about it is beyond me. I should be living somewhere tropical right now… problem is you have to have money in your bank account for that kind of thing.

Jakob looks really cute in those pictures… reminds me alot of Cedric.

I love the snow but I think we have had are fill this year! I like when it snows a lot and sticks around for a day or two and then melts. You get to play, make a snowman and then move on. Tropical places get old too. It’s nice to enjoy all seasons in my opinion.

LOL! We really need to just be in a place that doesn’t have snow that sticks for months at a time. That get’s old. Not to mention the possibilty of slipping and falling every time you walk out of your house. Yes, we salt, but that doesn’t matter, especially when it melts then refreezes again over night. Not to mention having to clear you car off every morning because it has a layer of ice on the windshield or has a few inches of snow on it, due to over night snow. When the late winter months come around we start to get cranky about the snow. Unless, we have a mild winter… :P

I hear what you are saying. We had sun outside today if you can believe that. I almost forgot what that looks like! I already find myself longing for a beautiful summer day where I can lay outside and warm my soul. It is the pit of summer I don’t care for when everything gets to hot and the grass and leaves all turn brown, things get so dusty. I guess I really like the beginning of summer the best! After living in Southern California for so many years I do have to say I actually really appreciate the different seasons. There is something wonderful about the coming change no matter what season it may be!

Live in Maine your whole life, and you’re opinion would change… blech.

I would just be glad to gorge myself on Lobster!!!!

Yeah, the change is good, but in small dosages. I remember the first winter I was out here on the east coast. I loved it! To see the seasons change and play in the snow. My neighbors thought I was crazy! Then a few winters came and went, we had a few bad ones, in my opionion. Everyone said it was nothing. I remeber literaly dreaming of sunbathing in my home town back yard and feeling the warmth on my skin then waking to the cold. That’s when I started thinking that I need a balance of the seasons change to harsh winters. What’s really messed up is, because of global warming, I haven’t experienced a real Maine winter. I can’t imagine what that would be like, and I don’t want to find out. LOL!

I guess I am lucky to live in the Northwest. It sounds like life is a little more balanced here. The summers are so nice here! I also love our autumns. I live in such a beautiful place. I would really like to live up in Vancouver, B.C. for a while too! My cousin lived there for a while and he said it is mild most of the year. Apparently it rarely snows there too! I was pretty shocked by that considering Whistler is so close to them. I guess if you want some snow you could just take a drive up the hill! I could totally live there…heh! Yep, I would fit right in…heh!
